relate 

1. 연관짓다(connect) to be connected with something. or to show that something is connected with else:

She relates rising unemployment rates directly to government policies.

relative 

1. 명사로 친척

2. adj. 상대적인(comparing) : 

being judged or measured in comparison with something else:

3. 관련된, relative to : If something is relative to something else, it changes according to the speed or level of the other thing:

The amount of petrol a car uses is relative to its speed.

4. relative to sth(상대적으로) : compared to something else:

relating to, relative to related to 의 차이는 뭘까?

 

 

1시간 30분정도 여러자료를 읽은 결과는.... 너무 자료가 많다는것..

 

 

relating to, related to 는 관련있는... 으로 사용하는건 확실하다.

네이버 예문을 정말 많이 읽은결과 전부 관련있는 이라는 뜻으로 쓰인다.

굳이 차이를 두자면

related to  관련된

relating to  관련된

위 두개도 거의 차이없이 쓰이지만 깊게 들어가면

 

A related to B : A는 B와 관련있다. (B가 중심인문장)

 

A relating to B : A는 B와 관련있다.(A가 중심인 문장)

 

*relevent 는 한국어로 ' 직접적으로 관련이 되어있는' 이라는뜻

 related는 간접적이든 직접접이든 접점이 있다는뜻.

 예문 찾아 보면알겠지만 사용용도가 좀다르다.

 

'relative to'랑 'related to' 의 차이는 무엇인가

우선 위 링크를 보면은 두개의 차이는 

relative는 관련이 있다고 고려되는것이고

related는 관련이 있다는 것이다.

이건 진짜 찾아도 찾아도 제대로된 자료가 없었다.

 

그냥 네이버 사전을 정의랑 예문을 쭉본결과

 

relative 는 많이 쓰이는게 '친척' 이라는 명사랑

'상대적인' '상대적으로 비교해서' 이런식이 가장 많이 쓰인다.

 

It was all relative / 그건 전부 상대적인 거였어.

He is my relative / 그는 내 친척이야.

 

여기 까지 알아 놨으니 나중에 기인을 만났을때 한번더 물어봐야겠다.

일단 여기 까지 사용성을 나누어 두자.
