선착순을 영어로 뭐라고 표현할까요?

선착순은 19세기부터 혹은 그 이전부터 사용됐을 수도 있다고 합니다. 
선착순의 의미는 고객이 도착하는순서대로 먼저 서비스를 받는 상황을 
말하는데요, 이 단어의 효과는 고객이 빠르게 행동해야 한다고 생각하게 만들고,
한정된 기회라고 생각하게 만듭니다. 또한, 고객이 사회적인 위치랑은 상관없이
서비스를 받을수있게 보장합니다. 
이것은 FCFS의 약어로 줄여져서 광고에서 흔히 쓰이게 됩니다.

예시 1

- Seating for this cinema is first come, first served. 

- This restaurant isn’t taking reservations – it’s first come, first served. 

- The campsites are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis.

- "Aren't there any goods left?" "Sorry—first come, first served."

 

정확하게 어떻게쓰지?

1. 콤마 없이쓰기
- The rooms are limited and available on a first come first served basis.

2. 콤마 넣어서 쓰기
- There are 4,000 up for grabs on a first come, first served basis.

3. 하이픈 넣어서 쓰기.
- DaeHan Airlines accepts pets on a first-come, first-serve basis.

4. 따옴표 넣어서 쓰기.
- The apartment is set to be sold on a “first-come, first-served” basis.

여러가지가 있지만 하이픈 없이, 따옴표 없이, 콤마를 쓰는 게 가장 편한 거 같습니다.

- The new goods will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

헷갈리면 FCFS라고 표현하면 더 세련되 보이겠죠? 물론 공인시험에서 이러면 안 되겠지만요.
